Once we have our complimentary 1-hour consultation and sign a contract, I will support you and your partner in the prenatal period, through labor and delivery and during the postpartum period as follows.

Before Labor Support

​We will discuss, review, and together formulate your birth plan after discussing your desires, wishes, and needs as well as review any fears or concerns you may have.

​

• I will be available to you via phone call, text or email to answer any questions or concerns you may have from the time of hiring

• I will be on call 24/7 from 2 weeks before your estimated due date until 2 weeks after

• We will discuss risks and benefits of medical interventions

• We will practice comfort measures and coping strategies for pain and fatigue

During Labor and Birth

• Call me or text me when you think you are in labor, even if I am not needed yet. We will assess and decide if I will provide support and guidance over the phone or in person either at your home or place of birth.
  

• During labor I will provide continuous emotional, physical and informational support to you and your partner

• I will remain with you throughout labor and until the arrival of your baby all the while providing comfort measures such as massages, counterpressure, changing in positions, encouragement, advocacy and will try to maintain your desireable birth environment.

After Birth

• I will remain with you for about an hour after birth until you are ready for me to leave
  

• If needed, I can help with initial breastfeeding of your little one

• I can also take some photos of your new family if you desire

• We will schedule a post-partum visit at your home during the first 10 days to reflect on your birth, answer any questions you may have, provide you with a local resource list if desired and receive feedback on my role as your doula.
